Well, my name's Tom. I'm a plutocrat. I love my Wife. Her name's Daisy. I love my wife. I have no side-affairs. I love my Wife. I don't like men with the letter J and G as the first letter in their name and end in "atsby" or "ay". I can't stand dishonest men. I mean, I'm a Yale graduate for pete's sake! Yes, I did go to Yale. I dislike men that live in WEST EGG. I don't like men who like green lights and/or hit on my wife. Also, I firmly adhere to my religion that men who wear pink ought to be shot. I also don't like promiscuous men that have sex appeal unlike myself. I'll tell you a story. Once, there was a man who had a J and a G in his name... he died.

Anyway, I hope to write lots of long, brilliant, and poignant journal entries on this device. They will enrich one's mind and soul. It's fortunate that you came across my journal. I mean, I AM Tom Buchanan. I graduated from Yale. What life did you have before mine anyway? WARNING: Not to be read by men who have the letter Gatsby in their name. My brilliance and ingenious thought processes might shock you. Yes, it's that offensively enlightening. I am ridiculously enlightening. Please do not feel that you have to thank me. After all, shouldn't we all share in my intelligence?
